On March 6, 2025, the Warsaw Disputes Summit 2025, organized by Clyde & Co. was held at Warsaw's Norblin Factory. The event brought together leading experts in litigation and arbitration to analyze key changes in litigation practice and the effectiveness of reforms to date.
The speakers included representatives of KKG Legal:
- dr hab. prof. UJ Andrzej Kubas, as the keynote speaker, presented the evolution of litigation in Poland, combining academic and practical perspectives. In his speech, he referred, among other things, to how the rules of the professional attorney's profession have changed and which reforms have actually affected daily practice. He also reflected on the persistence of some of the challenges and what difficulties the proxies faced just a dozen years ago remain only a memory today.
- Barbara Jelonek-Jarco, PhD, took part in a panel discussion entitled "Extrajudicial Methods of Dispute Resolution: Practical Aspects," in which she and other experts discussed the importance of mediation and arbitration in the justice system. The discussion focused on the effectiveness of ADR, the potential for its dissemination to businesses, and the controversy surrounding compulsory mediation.
The conference program also included panels on challenges in arbitration and evidence proceedings as a test for professional attorneys.
Thank you to the organizers and participants for the inspiring discussions and exchange of experiences!
