From 1–5 June 2026, London hosted another edition of London International Disputes Week (LIDW), one of the leading global events dedicated to arbitration, mediation, and international dispute resolution. Held under the theme “Tradition, Trust and Transformation in International Dispute Resolution,” the event brought together legal practitioners, business leaders, academics, and dispute resolution professionals from around the world.
KKG Legal was represented at LIDW 2026 by Barbara Jelonek-Jarco, PhD and Maciej Durbas, PhD, LL.M., MCIArb.
Barbara Jelonek-Jarco’s participation was connected with the publication of the Law Over Borders Enforcement of Judgments Guide, for which she authored the Poland chapter. During the event, she took part in the roundtable discussion “International Enforcement of Judgments: Recent Developments, Difficult Issues and Innovative Strategies,” which focused on current challenges and practical considerations in the cross-border enforcement of judgments.
Maciej Durbas participated in “The Next Frontier of Multijurisdictional Mega-Claims: Navigating the Multi-Billion-Dollar Claim Process,” an event organized in connection with the Law Over Borders Comparative Guide to Arbitration, to which he contributed the Poland chapter. He also spoke at the panel “When Winning Isn’t Enough – Asset Recovery in the Face of Enforcement Obstacles,” held on 3 June 2026, where experts discussed the practical challenges of asset recovery and the enforcement of judgments and arbitral awards in cross-border disputes.
LIDW 2026 provided an excellent opportunity to exchange insights with dispute resolution practitioners from across jurisdictions and to engage in discussions on the evolving landscape of international arbitration, litigation, and enforcement.
