In the frames of the Law & Development programme, Kubas Kos Gałkowski endeavours to contribute to improving both legislation and the practical application of commercial law in Poland. With that in view, the Firm cooperates with Jagiellonian University, the European Center for Comparative Commercial and Company Law (Centrum C-Law), and the Allerhand Institute – an independent research institution conducting interdisciplinary and comparative studies into the role of legal institutions in constituting and functioning of the market.

Thanks to cooperation with Jagiellonian University, Kubas Kos Gałkowski is a permanent partner in the Jagiellonian Colloquim held by the Department of Civil Law of Jagiellonian University. The event constitutes an important platform for the exchange of views regarding the issue of fundamental significance for civil law dogmatics in Poland.

In the frames of the works on the improvement of legislation in Poland, the Firm’s Partners actively participate in the works aimed at drafting new legal acts. Professor Andrzej Kubas and Rafał Kos, attorney-at-law, prepared a legal opinion on the drafted bill for the commission of the Bureau of Research Chancellery of the Sejm. Furthermore, Rafał Kos, attorney-at-law, participated in the sessions of the Sejm Justice and Human Rights Committee in the capacity of an expert. Moreover, Kubas Kos Gałkowski Law Firm is also present in all major domestic initiatives aimed at class action assessment.

Partners Rafał Kos, attorney-at-law, and Dominik Gałkowski, attorney-at-law, also participated in the works of the Minister of Justice’s Team for the amendment of the Bankruptcy and Rehabilitation Law which prepared recommendations in terms of specific changes in the Bankruptcy and Rehabilitation Law in Poland: legislative and institutional solutions.

Rafał Kos, attorney-at-law, and Kamil Zawicki, attorney-at-law, participated in the works of the Minister of Economy’s team for systemic solutions in the area of Alternative Dispute Resolution, facilitating pursuit of business activities.
