On 5 October 2024, the 'Smile without Fear' conference on oncology prevention and vigilance was held in Gorlice. The event brought together specialists from various fields, including law, medicine, and onco-cosmetology, with the objective of raising awareness of cancer prevention.
At the conference, Kamil Zawicki and Ernestyna Niemiec, attorneys-at-law, presented an interactive case study titled Legal Aspects of Liability in Physician Practice, with Special Reference to Oncological Vigilance. During the presentation, they addressed a range of topics related to the legal liability of doctors, including diagnostic errors, the duty of continuing professional development, and civil, criminal, and disciplinary liability.
