On 25 May 2018 a General Regulation on Personal Data Protection (RODO) will enter into force. The regulation will thoroughly alter the legal environment and requirements entrepreneurs face in the area of personal data protection. The new RODO regulation will affect all companies which collect and use personal data of natural persons, regardless of the size and type of conducted activity. The new regulation on the one hand increases the level of protection of a natural persons’ data, on the other poses new and so far almost not practiced requirements for entrepreneurs to comply with.
The meeting’s objective was to present this complex set of issues more closely and indicate the fundamental legal consequences the entry of the Regulation into force will entail.
