Leviatan Arbitration Competition and “Master of Arbitration 2024” Arbitration Tournament

Distinctions

17 June 2024

Last week abounded in success for our students in no less than two arbitration competitions.

On 13-14 June, the oral phase (preliminary and final rounds) of the Lewiatan Arbitration Competition took place, during which teams participated in simulated arbitration hearings.

-The team consisting of Magdalena Junak, Artur Zygmunt, Jakub Bojarczuk and Katarzyna Sobol was awarded second place and the prize for the best response to a statement of claim;

-The team of Karolina Chowaniec, Tomasz Baran, Marcin Partyka and Sergiusz Żełobowski was awarded the prize for third place and the prize for the best statement of claim.

The Lewiatan Arbitration Competition is the first and largest moot court competition for legal trainees in Poland, organised by the Lewiatan Arbitration Court. It allows for the practical application of knowledge about arbitration proceedings. It is an excellent opportunity for trainees to develop and test their ability to appear before courts, especially arbitration courts.

On 13 June, the final of the “Master of Arbitration 2024” arbitration tournament for attorney trainees was held. It was organised by the National Bar Association.

-The team headed by Tomasz Baran and Marcin Partyka won the final and the title of winner of the competition.

The finalists conducted a simulated arbitration hearing before experienced arbitrators, which allowed the trainees to put their knowledge of arbitration into practice and provided an ideal opportunity to test their skills in appearing before an arbitral tribunal.

Congratulations to all the participants!
