Vis Moot season in Central and Eastern Europe officially launched

15 September 2024

From September 13th to 15th, almost 60 participants from Ukraine, Moldova, Poland, Lithuania and Belarus met in Krakow, Poland, as part of the Summer Course on International Commercial Arbitration, to explore the secrets of international commercial arbitration, alternative dispute resolution and international trade law. The course included expert-led sessions from Kubas Kos Gałkowski (KKG Law Firm), which explored the core principles of arbitration, ADR and international trade law, all connected to the Willem C. Vis Moot.

In addition to the intensive training sessions, the participants, at the invitation of KKG Law Firm, had the opportunity to discover the charms of Krakow during a guided tour. The programme included the most important sights of the Old Town, such as the Main Market Square, St. Mary’s Church and the Wawel Castle. It was an excellent opportunity for informal discussions and to get to know more about a city with a rich history that has been a centre of science and culture for many years.

These were inspiring days full of knowledge sharing, relationship building and discovering new perspectives.

The Summer Course on International Commercial Arbitration in Krakow was organised by Commercial Law Development Program and hosted by Jagiellonian University in Krakow.
