On 26 February, Prague hosted an ICC Prague Arbitration Day 2018 conference entitled Opportunities and Challenges for Arbitration in the CEE Region. Rafał Kos,PhD, appeared as a speaker at the event. The ICC Prague Arbitration Day 2018 is a unique one-day conference focusing on the international trends in arbitration in the CEE region.

The conference consisted of four thematic blocks concerning the following subjects:

• Speed and effectiveness of arbitration,
• Third-party financing of arbitral proceedings,
• Enforcement of temporary measures imposed by tribunals in the Central and Eastern Europe region,
• Significance of the applicable venue for arbitration.

The event saw the participation of representatives of legal professions – attorneys-at-law, lawyers, legal counsels, arbitrators, as well as representatives of national and international bar associations from the CEE region (Czech, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary). The event was organized by the Commission on International Arbitration of the ICC Czech Republic and the ICC International Court of Arbitration.
