The Jagiellonian University team under tuition of Messrs. Kamil Zawicki and Łukasz Gorywoda, PhD, enjoying the support of Kubas Kos Gałkowski, took part in the oldest and most prestigious student competition in the field of investment arbitration: Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court which was held from 12 to 17 March 2018.

The competition is based on speeches before an arbitral tribunal composed of outstanding experts in the field of arbitration. Arbitrators in the competition are international law and investment arbitration experts as well as renowned scholars, including judges of the International Court of Justice. The competition is exceptional as it combines investment protection law – one of the latest and fastest developing areas of international law with the history of international law and international commerce. Participation in the FIAM provides students with a unique opportunity of acquiring the practical skills of a lawyer.

We extend our thanks to all the Team for their commitment and preparations for the competition.
