The three-day TL4 FIRE Starters: Global Summit has taken place in Dublin, marking one of the key international events for practitioners handling disputes involving fraud, insolvency, asset recovery, and cross-border enforcement.
Organized by Thought Leaders 4 FIRE, the summit brought together more than 200 experts from over 27 jurisdictions. The program included three days of panel discussions, workshops, and networking sessions focused on, among other topics, cross-border enforcement strategies, asset recovery, and proceedings related to complex financial fraud.
On the third day of the conference, Maciej Durbas, PhD, partner and leader of KKG Legal's Arbitration Practice spoke on the panel “The Differing Perspectives of Disclosure”. The discussion addressed practical aspects of disclosure obligations in cross-border disputes, with particular emphasis on:
- assisting US and UK disclosure from a continental perspective,
- differences in disclosure obligations in common vs. civil law jurisdictions,
- the evolving threshold for disclosing documents in civil fraud claims,
- disclosure from the defendant’s perspective.
Participation in the summit provided an opportunity to exchange insights with market leaders and engage in in-depth discussions on the evolving landscape of international asset recovery and cross-border enforcement proceedings.
