A single complaint may pertain to a single purchaser. However, it may also indicate a problem that occurs in a similar form throughout the entire project. During KKG Legal’s free webinar, we will discuss how to identify such risks early on and prepare your organization for an increase in similar claims.
WHEN MIGHT A SINGLE COMPLAINT INDICATE A BROADER PROBLEM?
In the real estate development industry, contract templates, sales and complaint procedures, and construction standards are generally uniform across developments. Therefore, a single case may, over time, lead to a greater number of similar claims.
In certain cases, the issue may also involve the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) or the risk of a class action. Early recognition of signs indicating that the issue is more widespread allows the company to prepare for a potential dispute.
HOW CAN YOU IDENTIFY AND MITIGATE THE RISK OF CONSUMER CLAIMS?
On October 14, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., we invite you to a free KKG Legal webinar titled “Consumer Claims in the Real Estate Development Industry. How Can We Identify and Mitigate Risks Early On?"
During the meeting, we will discuss, among other things:
- sources of consumer claims in real estate development,
- signs indicating that the problem may be more widespread,
- risks associated with UOKiK actions and class-action lawsuits,
- measures that help mitigate risk and prepare the company for a potential dispute.
The webinar will be led by Agnieszka Trzaska-Śmieszek, attorney at law, leader of the Class Action Practice and the Competition and Consumer Protection Practice at KKG Legal, and Barbara Jelonek-Jarco, PhD, head of the Real Estate, Investment Projects, and Construction Law Practice.
