From April 23-25, 2026, Kraków will host the Ciarb European Branch Annual Conference – International Arbitration and the Rule of Law. Organized by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Ciarb), the event will bring together experts from across Europe and beyond, creating a space to discuss the key challenges and emerging trends shaping international arbitration.
The conference will begin with a networking opening cocktail, followed by the main conference sessions, and post-conference social networking events. The opening cocktail at the Kraków Bar (Attorneys’ Club) will provide an opportunity for initial conversations and informal meetings. KKG Legal is pleased to support the conference as a Golden Sponsor.
The program also features our expert. Maciej Durbas, PhD, partner and leader of KKG Legal's Arbitration Practice, will take part in the panel: “Managing complex public interest issues in international arbitration, such as EU competition law. No ‘imperium’, no outside assistance, no voices but the parties, and the shroud of confidentiality. Is it a realistic proposition?”
The panel will also include Boris Baklaja, Gediminas Dominas, Przemyslaw P. Krzywosz, Tatyana Slipachuk, and Kamalia Mehtiyeva, and will be moderated by Justyna Szpara.
For conference participants who would like to experience Kraków beyond the conference agenda, KKG Legal partners have prepared a dedicated guide offering a more personal perspective on the city – highlighting not only its most recognizable landmarks, but also places that capture its unique atmosphere.
This event brings together arbitration practitioners, institutional representatives, and academia, offering a broader perspective on arbitration in the context of the rule of law.
