On May 13-14, 2025, the “Bankruptcy and Restructuring Law 10 Years Later” anniversary conference was held in Warsaw, organized by the Institute of Bankruptcy and Restructuring Law at Lazarski University in Warsaw.

During the event, experts spoke and together summarized a decade of current regulations and pointed out directions for needed changes. The more than 60 speakers included restructuring advisors, judges, academics and experienced practitioners.

Katarzyna Kostępska, Partner and Leader of KKG Legal’s Restructuring and Bankruptcy Practice, spoke on a panel on insolvency as a socio-economic phenomenon. The panel provided an opportunity to discuss issues such as socio-economic changes as a driver of insolvency, factors contributing to corporate crises in Poland and Europe, or the inefficiency of the support system in restructuring, among others.
