Barbara Jelonek-Jarco, PhD, on key aspects of commercial leases during a meeting of the Academic Circle of Construction and Real Estate Law of TBSP UJ

3 December 2024

Last Tuesday, 3 December, Barbara Jelonek-Jarco, PhD, co-managing partner of KKG, was the guest speaker at a meeting organised by the Academic Circle of Construction and Real Estate Law at Jagiellonian University. The event focused on key aspects of commercial leases – issues that often raise questions and concerns in legal practice.

The event was an excellent opportunity to learn the answers to the most common questions, such as:

  • What elements should a lease agreement contain to protect the interests of both parties?
  • What rights does a landlord have over a leased property?
  • Is it possible to terminate a fixed-term lease, and in what cases?
  • How can conflicts between the tenant and landlord be effectively resolved?
  • What are the legal consequences of non-performance, including claims for damages?

The meeting was an excellent opportunity to discuss specific problems and present practical solutions that can support both owners and tenants. Thanks to numerous questions from participants during the meeting, very interesting and inspiring discussions took place on the practical aspects of the functioning of the lease agreement.
