Attorneys Patrycja Wysocka and Patrycja Nowakowska on the future of the Polish power industry at the 12th New Model of Power Engineering Technical Conference

On 19-21 November, the 12th New Model of Power Engineering Technical Conference took place in Kazimierz Dolny. The conference was aimed at representatives of the energy sector – including managers, engineers, specialists in new technologies, investors and representatives of research institutions and technical universities.

During the three days of the conference, the most important issues related to the transformation of the Polish energy sector were discussed, focusing on topics such as:

  1. Poland’s energy transition,
  2. nuclear energy
  3. hydrogen technologies and gas units
  4. large-scale renewable energy generation
  5. decarbonisation and carbon capture and storage (CCS),
  6. heating and its transformation.

Representatives of energy companies, academic institutions and technology providers gave presentations.

Patrycja Wysocka, partner and co-head of KKG’s Energy & Natural Resources practice, discussed new technologies on decarbonisation pathways from a legal perspective. Patrycja Nowakowska, counsel and expert in KKG’s Energy & Natural Resources practice, took part in a panel discussion on nuclear power, during which participants discussed activities related to the development of large and small nuclear power plants.

Such a wide range of experts provided an insight into the potential of the Polish energy sector for power generation, as well as an opportunity to hear presentations from industry leaders, scientists, investors and technology providers. Participants gained valuable information on the energy market, legislation, and upcoming challenges, enabling them to develop their business strategies better and exchange experiences at a higher level.
