Attorney-at-law, Professor of Jagiellonian University. Involved in educational and scientific activities. In the years 2004-2007, the Head of the Chair of Civil Law at Jagiellonian University.

Expert in civil law, commercial law, cross-border court and arbitration proceedings. Appeared before common courts of all instances, the Supreme Court, the Supreme Administrative Court, and courts of arbitration on numerous occasions. Conducted multiple court proceedings for the recognition of foreign court judgments and arbitral awards in Poland. Successfully represented injured parties before Polish courts in the so-called ‘zabużańskie’ cases (cases related to repatriation from the former Polish territories presently in the territory of Ukraine); one of the first attorneys-at-law in Poland to engage in class actions.

Author of many scholarly publications in the area of civil law, labour law, administrative law, and international legal transactions. Appeared at numerous conferences in Poland and abroad dedicated to civil law, civil procedure, and international legal transactions in civil cases.

Arbitrator of the Court of Arbitration at the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Chamber of Commerce. Expert of the Parliamentary Justice and Human Rights Committee on the formulation of the bill on the pursuit of claims in class actions.

Co-organiser of and lecturer at Polnische Rechtsschule, since 2014 a member of the Advisory Board of the Czech (& Central European) Yearbook of Arbitration. Former Vice-President of the Polish-German Lawyers Association (Deutsch-Polnische Juristen Vereinigung e.V.). Former member of the Prime Minister’s Legislative Committee. Former Vice-President of the Polish Bar Council and Deputy Dean of the District Bar Council in Krakow.

Awarded the ‘For Merits for Administration of Justice’ badge of honour by the Minister of Justice and twice ‘For Merits for the Bar’ by the Polish Bar Council. In 2012, awarded the Złoty Paragraf [Golden Paragraph] award by the Dziennik “Gazeta Prawna” daily for the best Polish attorney-at-law for his pioneering work in initiating class actions. A laureate of the Forbes Professionals ranking in 2012 and 2014. For years enjoying the recommendation of Chambers and Partners in the scope of Dispute Resolution (Statespeople).
