For three days, Krakow became a hub for the international arbitration community.

From April 23 to 25, the city hosted the CIARB European Branch Annual Conference 2026 under the theme "International Arbitration and the Rule of Law."

As a Gold Sponsor, KKG Legal supported the event, which brought together practitioners, academics, and institutional representatives from Europe and beyond to discuss the evolving role of arbitration in safeguarding the rule of law.

The conference featured high-level discussions and a practical outlook on the current challenges shaping international arbitration. Our expert, Maciej Durbas, PhD, LL.M., MCIArb, partner KKG Legal, participated in the conference as a panelist. KKG Legal was also represented by Marta Lewko-Walczak, senior associate KKG Legal, and Stanisław Lalik, associate KKG Legal.

Beyond the panel discussions, conversations continued in a more informal setting. As part of the accompanying events, the organizers arranged a walking tour of Krakow and an Arbitration Runners race. These events gave participants the opportunity to network, exchange experiences, and explore the city from a different perspective.

Take a look at the photo coverage for a glimpse of the discussions and the atmosphere of the events.
