We are happy to inform that the team of the Jagiellonian University, supervised and tutored by Kamil Zawicki and supported by Kubas Kos Gałkowski, participated in the largest and most prestigious competition dedicated to investment arbitration – the Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot. This year’s edition was held in London.

The FDI Moot is a competition aimed at familiarising students of law with the set of issues concerning the resolution of disputes between investors and the state through investment arbitration. The competition consists in representing parties to a fictitious dispute between an investor and the state based on a case provided by the organisers. The participant’s task is to write pleadings for both parties of the dispute, and subsequently represent each of the parties during the oral rounds held at the competition’s final stage. The problem itself as well as oral rounds provide a unique opportunity to become acquainted with the latest trends and current issues in the field of investment arbitration.
