On 18 June, the "Construction Disputes" conference organised by the MUST READ MEDIA Publishing House took place.

During the event, the latest case law and current interpretations of the law by courts, audit institutions, and construction law experts were discussed.

Aleksandra Kuzawińska, attorney-at-law, explained whether the reduction of a contractual penalty is possible only in the case of a dispute over payment. She also discussed what the gross exorbitance of a contractual penalty means in practice and what reduction of the penalty the contractor can expect.

The conference also covered topics such as the pursuit of claims for additional work, contractual liability for defects in works as an alternative to warranty liability, the most common errors in contractor/subcontractor agreements and strategies for asserting the contractor's indirect costs in connection with the extension of a construction contract.

We want to thank the organisers and participants of the conference for their commitment and participation!
