We would like to inform you that group proceedings are pending before the Regional Court in Płock, 1st Civil Division, with file reference No. I C 863/12 in the matter of the claim of Ms. Wanda Smożewska, acting in the capacity of group representative in the understanding of Article 4.1 of the Act of 17 December 2009 on pursuing claims in group proceedings against the State Treasury – Governor of the Mazowieckie Province, the State Treasury – Director of the Regional Water Management Authority in Warsaw, the Mazowieckie Province – the Regional Management Board of Drainage System and Hydraulic Equipment in Warsaw as well as the Płock Poviat. The subject of the group proceedings is the establishment that the Defendants bear joint and several compensatory liability resulting from an illicit act on the part of the Defendants entailing the illegal execution of public authority by the Defendants in the scope of flood protection on the areas owned by the Defendants, the negligence of which led to the collapse of the flood bank located along the left bank of the Vistula River.
