The 4th edition of the Krakow National Scientific Conference on Real Estate Law was held on May 8-9, 2025 at the Krakow University of Economics and online. This year’s meeting, organized under the theme “Limited rights in rem - the de lege lata status and de lege ferenda postulates,” attracted many participants interested in the practical and theoretical aspects of easements, usufruct, and debt security.
This year’s edition of the conference was devoted to issues related to limited rights in rem - their legal regulation, doctrinal controversies and practical challenges that arise in their application. Participants had the opportunity to listen to speeches by scholars and legal practitioners, who presented their analyses and proposals for legislative changes.
The speakers included representatives of KKG Legal:
- Barbara Jelonek-Jarco, PhD, partner and leader of the Real Estate, Investment and Construction Law Practice, addressed the topic of the definiteness of easements - the de lege lata status and de lege ferenda postulates,
- Julita Zawadzka, PhD, partner, brought the issue of the (non)openness of the transmission easement acquired by way of usucaption.
We would like to thank the organizers for their invitation and the participants for their inspiring talks and active participation in the discussions.
