Joanna Szlachta

Experience

Specialises in labour law, civil substantive and procedural law as well as in company law. She works with the team handling corporate disputes and bankruptcy and restructuring law. In addition, her areas of interest include alternative dispute resolution and public international law, particularly human rights protection issues. Specializes in representing clients before the courts in employment law cases and in criminal proceedings related to accidents at work. Provides comprehensive services to companies, both Polish and foreign, with regard to the preparation of labour law documents, including employment and civil law contracts, or internal employer documentation. She has extensive experience in working with foreign entities in adapting global employment policies to the principles of Polish law. Advises on a wide range of labour law issues, including employment of foreign nationals, legal obligations of the employer or termination of employment.

Experienced in providing comprehensive legal services to Polish and foreign clients, from the real estate and industrial and manufacturing sectors, both at the stage of negotiations and at the stage of litigation and subsequently during enforcement proceedings. She participates in proceedings in civil law, business law and administrative law. Participated in the development of litigation strategies in complex civil cases. Involved in legal audits of companies and corporate audits, and advises on negotiation and contracting processes for domestic as well as foreign investors.
