KKG has assumed patronage over the publication of Alfred Klein’s “Dzieła Wybrane [“Selected Works”], Kraków 2021, comprising four volumes, featuring Prof. A. Klein’s most essential works on civil law:

Volume I – Elements of a Contractual Legal Relationship

Volume II – The Statutory Right to Withdraw from a Mutual Agreement

Volume III – The Elements of Legal Relationship of Property Law

Volume IV – Varia

Alfred Klein was a professor at the University of Wrocław and was particularly interested in private law. Thanks to his extensive knowledge, unusual perspicacity and ability to focus his research on fundamental issues, he greatly influenced Polish civil law in the second half of the 20th century. His works, which have inspired and helped many authors dealing with civil law, have become a permanent part of the basic literature of the subject.

The year 2021 is a quadruple anniversary. This year is the 100th anniversary of Prof. Alfred Klein’s birthday and the 60th anniversary of the defence of his doctoral dissertation Elementy zobowiązaniowego stosunku prawnego (Elements of a Obligational Legal Relationship) reviewed by Professor Franciszek Longchamps de Bérier (1912-1969) and Professor Kazimierz Przybyłowski (1900-1987). This year also marks 30 years since Professor A. Klein retired and the 20th anniversary of his death.
