3rd Congress of Court Disputes, Mediation and Arbitration

Already for the third time the Allerhand Institute’s Dispute Resolution Section headed by Mr. Kamil Zawicki, attorney-at-law and Partner at Kubas Kos Gałkowski, organised the Congress of Court Disputes, Mediation and Arbitration. The Congress was held on 7th May 2015 in Polonia Palace Hotel in Warsaw.
The programme of the Congress included three panels:
- Protection of foreign investments in Poland and in the European Union – can the wind of changes coming from Brussels wipe out the present bilateral investment treaties system (BITS]?
- The EU ADR directive and the Polish case – significance of implemented changes for development of the present system for mediation and amicable resolution of civil and consumer disputes.
- Are we really safe from legislative and decision-related lawlessness of public bodies? A moment of reflection on effectiveness of regulations of Article 417 et. seq. of the Civil Code from the experiential perspective and in light of the latest planned legislative changes.
The conference also saw participation from Professor Andrzej Kubas – a senior partner and Mr. Paweł Sikora – a senior associate at Kubas Kos Gałkowski Law Firm. As each year, KKG was a partner in organisation of the event.
